  Guinness is good but, sorry to say, this pub could be so much better. The place smells of damp dogs and the decor needs refreshing. It reminds me of the old London pubs of the 70s. Considering the range of decent pubs in the area I am disappointed we choose to visit pubs further away, eg Old Ship in Tatsfield or any pub in Biggin Hill (top).
  The positives are that it caters for kids and has pool/snooker tables (can't remember which) and a darts board. If the brewery could invest in this place and bring it up to date I'm sure we'd visit more. I occasionally pop in while waiting for a takeaway from 'Biggin Hill Spice' (which is good) next door, but one pint is enough.
